How Gravity Funding verifies who you are before releasing payouts.
Identity verification (KYC — Know Your Customer) is a legal and operational requirement before any payout is processed. Gravity uses a trusted, regulated third-party KYC provider to handle the identity check securely. Your documents are never stored or processed directly by Gravity Funding.
Why we verify identity
Identity verification protects traders and the firm from fraud, account sharing, and money laundering. It confirms that the person requesting a payout is the same person who registered the account and completed the evaluation. It is also a legal requirement for any business handling performance-based financial payments.
When verification is required
You will be asked to complete identity verification before your first payout is approved. Subsequent payouts may not require re-verification unless your account is flagged for a compliance review or you update your registered details.

- After a long period of inactivity — may be required.
- After a change to your account registration details.
- If a compliance flag is raised during trading behavior review.
What you need to verify
- A valid government-issued photo ID — passport, national identity card, or driver's licence.
- A clear selfie photo taken at the time of the verification request.
- Proof of address may be requested in some cases — a utility bill or bank statement dated within 90 days.
All documents must be in good condition, fully readable, and not expired. Photos that are blurry, cropped, or edited will be rejected and you will need to resubmit.
How the process works
When your payout is ready for review, you will be prompted in the dashboard to complete the verification step. This opens a secure link to our third-party KYC provider's identity portal. You complete the process there — it typically takes under five minutes. Once submitted, the provider runs automated and manual checks. Results are usually returned within 24 hours. If verification is approved, your payout proceeds to the payment step.
Privacy and your data
Your identity documents are submitted to and stored by the regulated KYC provider — not Gravity Funding's servers. The provider is bound by its own data protection and compliance obligations. Gravity receives only a verification outcome (pass or fail) and a reference ID. We do not have access to your raw documents after submission.
If verification is declined
If your identity check is declined, you will receive a reason from the KYC provider and an opportunity to resubmit with better quality documents or correct information. Common reasons for failure include blurry images, expired documents, name mismatches between the account and the ID, and incomplete selfie captures. Contact support if you believe your rejection was in error and include your verification reference number.
